Ólafur Arnalds - Live 23.10.2008 Kendal UKÓlafur Arnalds is in my view, one of todays most talented modern classical composers. At only 21 years old he manages to find a depth of emotional intensity and maturity that is extroidinary for someone of his age.
This concert was recorded in a very small venue with only 30 or so people. It was unusual in that there was a complete lack of any noise from the audience. Whether this was from reverence or just English reserve is difficult to say but the music was very emotive and moving. I always feel deep parts of myself being touched by Ólafur's music with last nights concert being no exception. I have enormous admiration for this artist so I have included four videos which you can find below . . .
