As a special Christmas treat I would like to offer, what for me is perhaps the best Sigur ros concert I have heard. Of course its just my personal preference but . . . Here is why this is my all time favourite. Firstly the pace of this concert is so slow and smooth its exquistite and its one of those where Jonsi's voice just seems to float perfectly through out. Secondly the recording is one of the best I have heard. There is a fair number of FM concerts out there but the recording in this one is professional, the mics are high end and everything in the production, mixing and mastering is perfect. Thirdly, having heard a lot of different line ups this is my absolute favourite. A lot of people, myself included never had the chance to hear Sigur ros play in the early days so it really is a pleasure to share this particualr concert which I feel really encapsulates Sigur ros at their very best. Enjoy this perfect concert

A superb recording from near to the end of Sigur ros's recent tour. Its one of those concerts that is just that little bit slower, more introverted, relaxed than others. As soon as the first track Sven-G-Englar begins with that beautiful discordant feedback floating in the background you know its going to be good one. I love the guitar work on Popplagio - it is Huge!! Heartfelt thanks to Shota for allowing me to Re-master this concert and share it with you. Enjoy

There is a lower bitrate version of this concert which is widely found on the internet. Its great quality but it gives me much pleasure to Re-master and offer a 320kbps version for those who wish it. I have been meaning to post this one for a while but thanks to Einzack we now have a bit of a better quality version. A lovely listen. Well recommended.
Edit: This is a new Re-master - 01.01.2011. Basically Ive taken away much of the hiss & crackle which was audible during some moments. A nicer more balanced sound now. Very enjoyable listen

A lovely concert from that amazing 2003 period. Its a little hissy in quieter parts but this is un-noticeable later on. In terms of line-up this is a great show. Of particular note is a slow version of Gong which has Jonsi giving it his all. Relatively rare live performances of Staralfur and Guitardjamm are also here. Enjoy this great concert. (This will replace the lower bitrate version of this concert)

There is such a powerful emotional content thredded throughout this music it reminds me what music is all about and anyone who can express their heart through music in this way will always be a firm favourite of mine. The track called Father made me cry. Thank you so much David for such beautiful music.

Part of the Daniel Johnston and friends concert in the New Century Hall, Manchester, England. Mark played three solo songs with an almost unbelievable quiet emotional intensity. very, very sweet to listen to, you really feel involved. Its a real treat hearing Mark and the audience singing homecoming queen together so gently. If you like Sparklehorse's, more gentle songs this will be a real treasure for you.

From website: Sigur ros will perform a short set next wednesday (january 15th) at a conference whose aim is to protest against the impending construction of the kárahnjúkar power plant in east iceland. this kárahnjúkar hydropower project will result in irreputable environmental damage to approximately 290000 hectares of land in this area. other icelandic artists who have protested against the project include björk, who recently submitted a protest article in the icelandic newspaper morgunblaðið. the conference takes place at borgarleikhúsið in reykjavík and begins at 20:30

I thought is was about time we had some Low posted. The first time I heard Sigur ros (thanks Elin) I was also given a Low CD to listen to, so I have a fond affinity for Low A lot of the following Low concerts have a bit of an upbeat quality where as this one contains for the most part their slower songs. This is probably my favourite. Its so delicate, fragile but powerful. Enjoy

This is such a beautiful, gentle, sweet concert with, for me anyway, probably the very best version of Salka and Von I have yet heard. At this time Salka had not been played that much live and so was a relatively new song, but you really wouldn't think it listening to the perfectly smooth delivery. Also a really slow rendition of Von that builds with such an exquisite softness. Really wonderful.
