This record has been haunting me for a while now, offered for free download by Magic Goat Music. If your a teeny bit folky like me + you have a small penchant for music from the American Civil War period, then this will delight you no end. Its a wonderful collection of Lo-fi, warm, intimate songs. Imagine an old time miner stuck in a small shed during the harsh winter months in a run down gold mine long abandoned by all the other miners, writing songs of long lost loves & losses.

I just love this album & though I find it perplexing at times yet it intrigues me and induces me time and time again to return. :)

I'm so excited to present the full concert from the 1st public performance by Jónsi. Its a wonderful fun filled concert with loads of banter between Jónsi & the crowd. The quality is great. I had a lot of fun mastering this particular one, taking most of a day & a night to gently tease and bit by bit enhance all the various aspects of the original recording. It was quite a learning experience just to patiently keep going until finally it came together as I had envisioned !

I must give my heartfelt thanks to the person who recorded the original with which to work with. Without their kindness we wouldn't have been able to experience this historically important 1st concert from Jónsi. In many ways this one is fast becoming my favourite. It has a really nice honest & sincere simplicity about it, less polished and confident than recent shows - but in a good way! I love it. I hope you do to.

There are many different copies/versions of this concert in circulation. As a long time fan I would like to add my own input for those who may enjoy a Re-mastered version. I have spent a fair amount of work on this using various elements from the Mastering suites mentioned above. I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I do. :)

Another superb sounding concert from Jónsi. In some ways the best we have yet. Stunning - see for yourself! :) *I would like to recommend always to start listening to any re-masters on these blogs with your EQ set to 'flat' or 'off' and then changing it as you wish in dependence on your personal set up* I usually master them to sound as intended with no EQ. This then, hopefully, gives you as plenty of scope to then adjust your EQ to your own preferred type of sound.

I can't tell you happy I am to finally post this wonderful piece of music.

Its the happiest, most innocent, pure, interesting, summer record I have heard in a looooong time. I just love it. Its so rare to find such delicate and positively happy music...

What I love most about it is how it evokes so many memories of fun childhood adventures, the type of innocent adventures that as an adult, this music reminded me I had forgotten ! So thanks to the Greenland Choir for bringing back so many memories of times long buried in the business of life.
