The second act of the night, following the talented local, Denis Jones, was Jóhann Jóhannsson. Jóhann is a modern classical composer from Iceland whose music flows in a similar beautiful vein to the music of Olafur Arnalds. The show in Manchester was quite a rare live performance which included his string quaretet. A lovely relaxed, delicate and moving concert which both the audience and Jóhann enjoyed. Thank again to Dave and Graham without whom this wouldn't have been possible and to myself, the taper : )
