Sigur ros - Grand Rapids (Late Show) 18.02.2006 Re Master 09
Excellent concert in every respect. Very well balanced sound. After listening to this again its a lot better than I originally thought for the simple reason that nothing stands out in particular, which indicates that the various aspects of the sound are all working well together to give a smooth easy to listen to enjoyable concert. Its sometimes tempting when working with these concerts to emphasize aspects such as making the drums extra punchy or the sound extra bright but in general, if there is nothing in the mix distracting you from the music itself its so much easier on the ear and so all your focus simply goes on just enjoy the music rather than being distracted by any fancy audio effects. I think to some degree we have succeeded with this one. Thanks as always to the taper for their kindness

i think this is the late show. they did 2 shows in one night, and i attended the early show (around 8pm). the set list was different, because i distinctly remember they played vaka, fyrsta, samskeyti. i have the low end recording of that show and the set list does not include gitardjamm.
